Shaping the Future of Higher Ed: Join Us at The Chronicle Festival
Aqua Divider Line

Dear Colleague,

Higher education is at a crossroads. The pressures on colleges and universities today—political uncertainty, declining enrollment, generative AI, and growing public skepticism—are unlike anything I’ve seen in my 20 years of covering this field.

That’s why I’d like to personally invite you to join us for Chronicle Festival 2025, taking place September 16–18.

This free, virtual event is designed for higher-ed professionals like you—presidents, provosts, deans, faculty members, and student-facing leaders who are not only navigating change, but working to shape it.

Over the course of three afternoons, we’ll dive into critical questions such as:

  • How is Gen Z redefining the student experience?
  • What does it take to lead a campus through disruption?
  • How can we align college learning with workforce demands—without losing our purpose?

You’ll hear from national leaders and innovators including:

  • Steven Pinker, Professor of Psychology, Harvard University
  • Kim Hunter Reed, Louisiana Commissioner of Higher Education
  • Sian Beilock, President, Dartmouth College
  • Nancy Gonzales, Provost, Arizona State University
We’ll also be giving away featured e-books from Festival speakers each day of the event—another way to keep the conversation going long after the livestream ends.

If you haven’t yet registered, I hope you will today. It’s free to attend, and the insights you’ll gain could be transformative for your work and your institution.

I look forward to learning with you this September.

Warm regards,

Ian Wilhelm
