Community Volunteers Wanted
Help make a difference in your community.
Join the resident Selection Advisory Committee (SAC) for the FY 2027-2028 Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP).
Fairfax County manages the Consolidated Community Funding Pool (CCFP), a competitive funding process that supports human services programs developed and run by nonprofits and community-based organizations. Through the CCFP, the County invests in strengthening the network of programs and services available to residents, serving as a catalyst for positive community impact.
We are currently in the recruitment phase for the Selection Advisory Committee (SAC) for the FY27-28 funding cycle, and we are looking for dedicated community members to join us.
The SAC plays a key role in the funding process by reviewing and evaluating submitted proposals and making recommendations on fund distribution to the community partners offering programs to benefit Fairfax County community members. This is an opportunity to be a part of collaborative process that helps determine the allocation of resources that strengthen the County’s human services.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to support your community, we encourage you to volunteer.
The SAC onboarding training will take place, in person, in the fall of 2025. Proposal reviews will be held January-March 2026 and will be conducted virtually.
