Tonight at 7! International Overdose Awareness Vigil
Live(d) Experience Advisory Council - Helping our Community
45 Arlington residents who have been unhoused attended an event on Mon.,Aug. 25, held by Live(d) Experience Advisory Council (LEAC), a group of DHS clients experiencing or having experienced homelessness. They presented to the group on their work to enhance Continuum of Care services, such as formulating a new CoC grievance policy, and providing input into planning of CoC grants and services to meet them where they are.
Representatives from Community Assistance (Jenna Adams), Arlington Employment Center (Jackie Chavez), Ticket to Work (Emily Hoban), Treatment on Wheels (Michael Keen), and Public Assistance (Jessica Crothers) were available afterwards to answer questions and provide resources to clients in need. This event was important because it was client-lead, shared resources and power, and expertly coordinated by Regina Chambers. Kudos!
