A letter from our editor:
The end of summer and the start of the school year is always a little bittersweet. While I'm more than ready to say goodbye to the mosquitos and the sweltering heat, there's something about the shortening days and chillier mornings that remind me about how swiftly the time passes. The sweet, slow cadence of one season has ended, and if I'm not careful, the moments I want to treasure might get lost in the rapid avalanche of the fall. Because if there's one thing I've learned, it's that the last quarter of the year goes by in a flash — which is why I've got photography and picture displays on my mind.
Between the millions of images trapped on my phone and the stacks of drawings in every corner of my child's room, there are so many treasures I want to integrate into the visual story of our home. What we display on our walls and bookshelves are such a simple and powerful way to remind each other of the details, people, and moments that matter most.
I'm sharing some of the inspiration I've found from around the internet that will bring some of our family's summer out of the past and onto our walls. What better way to celebrate this life than to surround ourselves with tangible reminders of the memories we love most?
