People needed me so I needed to tick off every item on my holiday checklist. No self-respecting Martha Stewart devotee would get caught dead without a checklist. Mine read like a NASA flight plan.
Do. Do. Do. I was so busy doing for others. With bread dough rising for our church bake-sale and cookie batter calling my name from the fridge, I had to keep moving no matter how exhausted I was. And that’s how I landed in a heap at the bottom of the staircase when I was rushing to answer the phone.
