Good afternoon and welcome to your afternoon news update from AP. Today, the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s killing is charged, Rivian builds a new U.S. plant as electric vehicle tax credits are set to roll back soon, and remembering Robert Redford.

Suspect in Charlie Kirk killing charged with aggravated murder and weapon and obstruction offenses

Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a Utah university, was charged on Tuesday with aggravated murder. The charge means Robinson could face the death penalty if convicted of killing Kirk. Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray said Robinson’s DNA was found on the trigger of the gun used to kill Kirk. Many sports fans are unhappy with how much it costs to watch their games, an AP-NORC poll finds

A patchwork of expensive subscriptions, cable packages and password shares is common for many sports fans, according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, and it leaves them beholden to multiple platforms at a cost no one seems to like.
