The wonderful Wolftrap community has been collecting food for Food For Others, a nonprofit that collects food and donates it to the local community in need.
Volunteers are needed to pick up the food from the PTA closet on Fridays between 2:00-3:00 p.m. and drop off at the Loading Dock at the Food For Others Warehouse, located at 2938 Prosperity Ave, Fairfax, VA.
All of the food is located in the refrigerator of the PTA Closet (in the cafeteria) and will need to be put in the cooler and bags, brought to your car, and then dropped off at the warehouse.
The cooler would need to be returned to the PTA Closet by 10:30 a.m. on Mondays to help collect for the following week.

At Wolftrap, our volunteers are a vital part of our school community. We deeply value the time and care they give to our students. Recent updates to our volunteer process focus on one primary goal: keeping students safe. These updates — such as checks against the sex offender registry and, in some cases, criminal background checks — are safety measures that will help us maintain a secure and supportive learning environment for every student in our care.
All parents and community members interested in supporting our students by volunteering at Wolftrap need to visit Volunteer FCPS, click “Learn More,” and then “Sign Up.” After you create a profile, you will view an orientation video and complete a volunteer application. *If you intend to volunteer for a field trip or volunteer to be a WATCH dog, you will need to register for level 3. This requires a background check and may take more time. Please start the process right away!
Volunteer FCPS ensures a safe, consistent, and welcoming environment at all of our schools. All volunteers must be registered in Volunteer FCPS. This includes individuals who volunteer to chaperone on field trips, work at book fairs, and help out regularly in classrooms, libraries, or cafeterias. Volunteers who work unsupervised with students will also be required to undergo a background check.
Be sure to pre-order your Domino's Pizza and Nothing Bundt Cake Bundtlets today!
Help is still needed for this fun event! Please sign-up to volunteer!
Prize donations also needed! Do you have any goody bag items leftover from your child's birthday party? How about an unused toy from a Happy Meal? Now is the perfect time to get rid of those trinkets laying around your house! Bring them to the front of the school and look for the bin labeled: Prize Donations for Pizza Bingo Night!
***Don't forget to bring CASH for raffle tickets and the suggested $10 donation per family! Here are just a few of the great prizes you can win at the raffle, below!

Parents are invited to attend the first AIM Training session, which provides an introduction to AIM, as well as instruction for the first project of the year, based on the art work of artist Yayoi Kusama.
Yayoi Kusama is a world-famous Japanese artist known for her colorful, playful, and imaginative art. She loves using polka dots, bright colors, and repeating patterns to fill entire rooms, creating spaces that feel magical and endless. Her work often sparks curiosity and creativity, which makes her a favorite for kids and adults alike!
The online session via Google Meet will take place on Tuesday, September 30th at 8:00 p.m. Please click here to attend!
For questions or to request more information, email the AIM Committee.
Join the Walking Wednesday crew each week (weather dependent). Kids sign their names and grab a charm. How many charms can they collect?!?! The grade with the most signatures each month wins the coveted golden shoe. Adults, be sure to join in for coffee sponsored by Caffe Amouri and mingle with other parents!
Don't forget to (re) join the Wolftrap PTA!
As a reminder, please sign up for the PTA for the 2025-26 school year! PTA memberships are annual, so you must renew your PTA membership each year-- even if you have signed up previously!
PTA membership comes with many benefits, including voting rights at PTA meetings and access to the online school directory. The $30 membership fee covers state and national dues, impactful teacher support, and education and community opportunities for our school! The PTA board looks forward to you joining this year!
