Dear Haycock Families,
We were very excited to welcome our Blue Star Families- those who are military connected- on Friday morning for doughnuts and coffee. It was our pleasure to welcome and honor these families and show our appreciation for their service to our country.
We hope you will be able to join us for our October Cougar Connections and Conversations Parent Coffee on October 17 at 9:30 a.m. in the library. We will be presenting information, strategies, and answering your questions about keeping your child safe in a digital/online world.
There are lots of exciting events and days coming up in October. October 31 is an optional character dress up day for our students and staff. If your child decides to wear a book character costume that day, please note that face coverings, masks, and any weapon like accessories are not permitted. This is to ensure the safety of all our students and to make sure this day, like all others, is a day of learning.
A bond referendum to benefit FCPS will be on the ballot this Election Day, Tuesday, November 4. It represents an investment by the community into the facilities everyone uses — whether for school or to gather as a community. Read more about the FCPS 2025 Bond Referendum. Learn more about registering to vote. Make a voting plan and vote on Tuesday, November 4!
With appreciation for your partnership,
Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu
Heather Boyd, AP HABoyd@fcps.edu
