This week’s feature coffee comes from Colombia’s Nariño region, grown by a smallholder collective including many from Aponte’s indigenous community. Once tied to coca farming, these growers now lead Colombia’s honey processing movement, producing coffees with brilliant clarity.
Aponte’s high elevation and dry climate allow for slow, controlled drying, resulting in a smooth, layered cup with mellow stone fruit acidity. It’s a coffee shaped by resilience and precision, and a technically impressive profile.
