Dear Friend,
Fall's here, and so is a slate of fun and (mostly) free programming from Serica in New York, Seattle, and right in your own living rooms! We're thrilled to welcome dance and sports icons including New York City Ballet principal dancer, Mira Nadon, “So You Think You Can Dance” legend Alex Wong, Emmy-winning writer and sports journalist Michelle Yu, and many others to our latest Voices Rising: Asian Americans in Motion on October 21! There are also still seats left for an unforgettable day with world-renowned artist and choreographer Shen Wei.
In this month's newsletter, we're highlighting even more October Serica programs, including Serica Storytellers with Gish Jen in Seattle and our next virtual community appreciation meet-up. Read about our recent appearance at the Creative Climate Forum at Pier 57 and highlights from recent events with The New Yorker Executive Editor Michael Luo and our NYC Gallery Art Walk—and, as always, treat yourself to some wonderful events and updates from our community partners.
From all of us here, thank you for all you do for our community!
Cheers,
Daniel Tam-Claiborne
Deputy Director, The Serica Initiative
