A Word from the Cedar Lane Staff

Good afternoon Cedar Lane Community!

As the leaves change, the first quarter of the school year is quickly drawing to a close! Just a reminder that Quarter 1 officially ends Friday, October 31st (Halloween), which is just two weeks away. This is a crucial time for students to check in with their teachers, make sure all assignments are submitted, and prepare for a strong finish. We encourage families to review their student's grades and help them prioritize their remaining tasks.

Next week, we'll be participating in Digital Citizenship Week! This is an important time dedicated to helping our students learn to use technology responsibly, think critically, behave safely, and act ethically in the digital world. Through various classroom activities and discussions, we'll be reinforcing the skills needed to navigate the internet and social media in a positive and constructive way.

Finally, please remember that there will be no school for students on Monday, October 20th, in observance of Diwali. We wish all our families who celebrate a happy and joyous Festival of Lights! We hope this extended weekend provides a wonderful opportunity for rest and celebration before we dive into the last few days of the quarter.

Sending warmth and good wishes,

The Staff of Cedar Lane School
