A Note from your BES Administration

Dear Belvedere Family,

As we move further into the fall season, the weather has begun to cool considerably. We kindly ask that you ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for these changing temperatures, including wearing a warm coat and long pants. Staying comfortable during outdoor activities is important for your child’s health and overall school experience.

This past Monday, our teachers participated in a valuable day of professional development. The day provided time for staff to collaborate, deepen their instructional practices, and plan engaging and meaningful lessons that support student success.

Looking ahead, please note that school will be closed this coming Monday in observance of Diwali. To all members of our community who celebrate, we extend our warmest wishes for a joyful and peaceful holiday.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Fall SEL Screener

Each year, students in grades 3-12 across FCPS take the SEL screener.  Belvedere students in 3rd- 5th grades will take the screener in their classrooms during the week of October 24- 31, 2025. Students answer questions about their own SEL skills and how well their school community makes them feel valued, included, and supported. Parents are still able to opt out in ParentVUE.

Please view this website SEL Screener in FCPS for more information or reach out to Belvedere’s SEL screener lead, Paige Simpson at Pesimpson1@fcps.edu
