Principal's Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

Even though it was a short week, it was a very full one! We successfully wrapped up our PTA Boosterthon with the Zombie Fun Run, and our students had an absolute blast running outside on a perfect fall day. A huge thank you to our PTA, volunteers, and families for supporting this event and helping make it such a success!

Looking ahead to next week, please remember that Monday is a school holiday. We wish everyone who celebrates Diwali a joyful and bright celebration! School will resume on Tuesday with regular hours.

For families who were unable to attend the Overview of Advanced Academic Services presented by Mrs. Sharpes, she will be hosting a virtual session on Friday, October 24th from 12:30 to 1:15 PM. Please join using this link: https://myfcpsk12.zoom.us/j/95280350171?pwd=6x3RrMg0gGroVatrHsywiNbikmjfeI.1&from=addon

Next week, we will also provide the Body Safety Program for all students, facilitated by Fairfax County Child Protective Services. Lessons will take place during specials to minimize interruptions to core instruction.

  • Pre-K and Kindergarten: 35–45 minutes
  • Grades 1–6: 60 minutes

This important program teaches students how to recognize unsafe situations, set personal boundaries, and identify trusted adults they can talk to if they ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe. Lessons are age-appropriate, interactive, and designed to empower children with knowledge and confidence.

For more information about the Body Safety Program, please visit the Fairfax County Body Safety website.

Wishing everyone a restful long weekend and a great week ahead!

Sincerely,

KJ An
