A Message from our Administrators

Happy Friday Hunt Valley Families,

This week brought cooler temperatures and continued enjoyment for learning! Our patrols and 3rd graders learned about and practiced bus safety with FCPS transportation. Thank you to our patrol sponsors, Lindsey Dwyer and Sharon Sacks for organizing this training. 

As a reminder, Monday, October 20th is a county-wide holiday. We will see everyone on Tuesday, October 21st. On Tuesday, we will begin celebrating Digital Citizenship Week. Please see information below.

Next Friday, October 24th is our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat hosted by our fabulous PTA. Please consider hosting a trunk! You will find more information here.

Friday, October 31st, the SCA will have their first spirit day--Book Character Day! Students are able to wear school appropriate costumes to dress as a character from a book. Face masks, inflatables, weapons, and large hats are prohibited.

Digital Citizenship & Spirit Week — October 20-24, 2025!

Next week, Hunt Valley Elementary will celebrate Digital Citizenship Week 2025, joining schools across the nation in empowering students to be smart, safe, and responsible digital citizens. Each day focuses on an important theme from Common Sense Education — from critical thinking to healthy tech habits — with matching Spirit Days to make learning fun!
