Why I'm "quitting" the podcast...
First, I just want to express my huge GRATITUDE to all my listeners.
Whenever I travel, one of you guys stops me at airport and tells me the podcast changed your life.
Honestly, I've always been amazed and humbled by all the kind comments and downloads.
It's wild how many times we've charted... since it's not a "real" podcast with guests and interviews.
My podcast has taken a lot of forms since the first episodes came out over 11 years ago.
The first version was actually 2011 or so. I just used podcasting feeds or platforms as a simple way to post and share my audio replays of "teleseminars" for my clients that I used to do. It wasn't a big thing.
Then the real deal public release of The Charged Life Podcast was 2014, which you long-time guys made #1 across all categories a few times.
Later, we changed it to The Brendon Show, which you drove to #1 at launch again.
We retitled to Motivation with Brendon Burchard, after the pandemic I think, which is the current version on Apple and Spotify.
What a ride!
What most people don't know, apparently, is that the show has always been, for the most part, just clips of my longer trainings.
My team grabs my long-form keynotes, courses, and online classes and chops them down to some of our favorite moments. It's usually 10-20min clips.
I rarely interviewed people or did a "real" podcast episode. Sometimes, I liked a long keynote or training from the road so much that we posted the entire thing for you guys.
Once in a blue moon I'd interview a friend, but it was pretty much always just my training clips. Why?
Because my focus has always been my books, coaching, and training (online or in-person seminars).
I'm a long-form guy and I focus on our customers a lot.
Did you know I've taught over 400 live 2-hr classes; filmed over 40 courses, taught over 120 multi-day in-person seminars? And wrote 9 books (releasing only 6 so far). That's been the focus and it's been my life's great joy and mission.
What's sort of funny is that every single day, for years, dozens of pr companies or creators "pitch" me someone to be on my show. The emails start with some form of, "We love your show so much! Long time listeners here! So we think your perfect next guest is so-and-so..."
Clearly, they never even checked to see if I had guests on the show, which I didn't haha!
Seriously, though, I love podcasts and I'm happy this has been available for so many years. What an epic catalogue of clips.
But this Sunday, October 26th, will be the last day of The Motivation with Brendon Burchard podcast.
I'll be releasing something new on Monday. It will be the same feed, but all the old episodes disappear.
So, if you've ever loved the show, or you've never heard those epic clips, this is your last chance to download them to your phone.
Just subscribe and download ALL the episodes on your phone, now, if you want to have them.
Otherwise, they're gone at some point on Sunday. I don't know exactly when, bc I'm still working on the surprise.
As always, for those who want my daily audio training or long-form classes and courses, you can get them in my GrowthDay app.
Thanks again for everyone who loved the podcast.
More updates coming this weekend.
Subscribe and download all the episodes to keep them on your phone via on Apple and Spotify. Just wanted you to know.
- Brendon
