Annandale Students, Families, and Community,
I am thrilled to share that Annandale High School has been recognized by the Virginia Council on the Educational Opportunity for Military Children as a Purple Star School for the 2025–26 school year! This distinction honors schools that go above and beyond to support military-connected students and their families.
The Purple Star Award is a symbol of our commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all students, especially those who experience the unique challenges of military life. This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff, counselors, and student leaders who ensure every student feels a strong sense of belonging and connection from the moment they walk through our doors.
Our Purple Star designation is valid through the 2027–28 school year, and we are proud to continue this important work in service of our military-connected students and families. As you know, Annandale’s strength lies in our diversity and our shared commitment to caring for one another. This award is another example of what makes Atom Nation so special.
