Year 12 students at at least eight Queensland schools in Australia prepared for their final history exam by studying Augustus, the first Roman emperor, instead of the required topic, Julius Caesar. The mix-up occurred because the exam topic had changed from Augustus in 2024 to Julius Caesar in 2025, but some schools failed to update their teaching accordingly.

International boards gain popularity among Indian schools
International education boards such as Cambridge Assessment International Education and the International Baccalaureate are seeing significant growth in India, driven by a shift in parental priorities toward internationally relevant education. CAIE has surpassed 800 schools in India, while IB has grown from 183 to more than 255 schools since 2019. The Western Australian Certificate of Education is also entering the market, aiming to open 100 schools in three years.
