Three Take-aways

Long-term connections create lasting impact

The Congress provided an opportunity to re-connect with long-standing members of our community and understand how PANORAMA has contributed to their impactful work. For example, we met with Ann Dumaliang, winner of the PANORAMA Pathfinder Award in 2018. Ann shared that this was the first international award they ever won, leading to increased attention for their work in Masungi Georeserve (Philippines) and a number of subsequent recognitions.

Local voices and equity are central to global progress

Several Congress attendees highlighted – as speakers in PANORAMA events or when talking to us in the corridors - how their stories, often from community-based contexts, reached global policy tables through the platform. The addition of a multi-language tool and a mobile app broadens inclusion further.

Knowledge management is as important as innovation itself

PANORAMA’s impact stems from providing a process—documenting, reflecting, and connecting—not just an archive. Its storytelling approach turns technical solutions into relatable stories, making them easy to understand and adapt. Capturing and sharing what works is itself a transformative innovation. As Verena Klinger-Dering of the German Ministry for the Environment noted: “What makes PANORAMA particularly powerful is its ability to transform undocumented knowledge into structured, accessible case studies.”

Three Launches

PANORAMA mobile app

PANORAMA has launched its brand-new mobile application, now available for Android and iOS! The app allows users to explore, learn from, and share proven conservation Solutions—even offline, making it ideal for field practitioners working in remote areas. With features to search, save, and share Solutions on the go, the PANORAMA app brings knowledge and collaboration right to your fingertips. Download it now, using the QR code on the right!

Multilingual feature

In a major step towards greater inclusivity, PANORAMA also announced the launch of its multilingual feature. The web platform is now available in14 languages, such as Arabic, Turkish, Chinese and Russian. This enables users to access Solutions and all other content in their preferred language. Select your preferred language in the top right field of the navigation bar.

Storytelling report

PANORAMA proudly launched its first-ever Storytelling Report at Congress. A powerful reflection of how changemakers worldwide are driving conservation and sustainable development. Through personal stories, case studies, and user voices, the report captures real impact and lasting change across communities globally.
