Dear Sangster Families,
Thank you to everyone who purchased a Boo Bag! I hope you enjoyed the fun surprises inside!
We have two big fundraising events coming up, so mark your calendars! We'll be selling sponsorships to purchase Thanksgiving pies for our wonderful staff and teachers starting on October 30.
We also have our Online Auction starting on November 6. A lot of great items will be up for auction, including sporting events and special experiences with the Sangster staff. You can preview all items that will be available at: https://givebutter.com/c/sangster-2025/auction.

Be a part of our Thanksgiving tradition! All Sangster teachers and staff receive a Costco Thanksgiving Pie of their choice from the PTA; help us make this happen by contributing to the PTA Pie Fund. We love thanking our amazing staff for all that they do!
$15 Pie Donations will be available on givebacks from Oct. 30 through Nov. 15. Your name, along with that of all other contributors, will be attached to each pie distributed.
Your donation supports the purchase of pies as well as future hospitality events for staff.

Registration for the 2026 Sangster PTA Spelling Bee is now open! The Sangster PTA Spelling Bee is open to 3rd through 6th grade students and will be held in the Sangster Cafeteria on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 (6:00–9:00 p.m.).
All interested students must register in advance for the Bee. Final day of registration is Sunday, December 21, 2025. No registrations will be accepted after Sunday, December 21, 2025.
The winner of the Sangster Spelling Bee will go on to compete with the other local school spelling bee champions at the Fairfax County Spelling Bee on March 22, 2026, at Lake Braddock Secondary School. More details to come!

We are always looking for volunteers! Please take the time to complete the FCPS Volunteer Screening and fill out the Google Volunteer form so that we can add you to our email distribution list.
Sangster Administration has a need for library volunteers and cafe volunteers as well as occasional opportunities like picture day, field day, etc. Please complete the FCPS Volunteer screening to be considered for these events. Opportunities go out to the email list and also get posted to Facebook.

Sangster Parents Facebook Group
You are invited to join the unofficial Facebook group for the Sangster community, Sangster Parents. Please note that anyone who requests to join, including someone added by an existing group member, must answer the membership questions and check the box indicating agreement to abide by the group rules. If your membership has not been approved, this is likely why; check your Facebook messages (you may have to dig around for the section for messages from non-friends) for assistance from an admin.
