On November 15th at 4:45, WOMEN LAUGHING, all about the women cartoonists of The New Yorker, will have its New York City premiere! Since New York City is definitely a character in the film, this screening is really important. Audiences really responded enthusiastically to our first two premieres in upstate New York and New Jersey a few weeks ago, I am excited to see how New York City likes our work. It’s a thrill to be in a room full of strangers watching our film, and to hear the terrific laughter at all the women’s cartoons, their on-screen humor, and to hear the murmers of appreciation at their insights. There will be two showings, I hope if you live in the area you can come to one. I will be at both, so if you are there, please come say hi! I thought I would write something for this post today, but as I looked through these photos, I decided that they would better represent the joy of this film, and the talented women who gave their time and insight to be a part of it.
