sleeper hit [ slee-per ] [ hit ] noun
a secretly amazing product we’ve tried that should be popular but isn’t (yet) |
-
Rich but not gloopy: On paper, the ingredients aren’t exciting, but they certainly make for one of the best textures I’ve ever felt in a moisturizer. I use a little less than a dime-sized amount each time, and the way it absorbs into my skin while leaving behind that fresh-out-of-the-shower sheen can only be described as glorious. (It doesn’t just rival the afterglow left behind by the mask – it surpasses it, in my opinion.)
- Pump dispenser: I never realized how much a proper dispenser matters until using this one. Pump dispensers are my favorite type, but they’re also highly prone to malfunctioning. It’s been nothing but smooth sailing with this one, and I’m almost done with the bottle.
-
Lasting power: I love layering my moisturizer with oil before bed, but I don’t need to with this one, including after swimming laps in chlorinated water (an activity notorious for drying out the skin).

Something to note: I’ve also tried the brand’s toner, and it’s a keeper if you want the payoff of a retinol minus the potential irritation. |
