Sunday's five inches of snow in Chicago area is quickest start to winter since 1978

Chicago picked up its snow shovels again Sunday morning after the city was blanketed with up to five inches of snow in what a meteorologist at the National Weather Service called the “quickest start to winter” since 1978.
