Centreville Students, Families, and Community,
It's hard to believe, but this week marks a special anniversary for me. It's been exactly one year since I had the privilege of beginning my journey as Principal of Centreville High School!
In that time, we have worked diligently to foster a community truly committed to collectively working together, building strong relationships, and solving challenges thoughtfully as they arise. Our main priorities have remained constant: providing high-quality instruction for every student, building a positive school culture where everyone feels valued, and getting better, together. I greatly appreciate your continued partnership, dedication, and commitment to making Centreville a truly great school for all our students!
A massive congratulations to our entire band program for an absolutely incredible Winter Concert this week! Over 175 talented students across five different levels showcased their hard work and dedication in an evening filled with truly amazing performances. The talent on display was astounding! I was also personally grateful that they let me return as a guest conductor to close out the evening with our Wind Ensemble's festive performance of Sleigh Ride. It was a joy to be part of such a wonderful night!
Looking ahead, it's hard to believe that we will be selecting classes for the 2026-2027 school year right after the winter break. To support our students in making the best choices, our teachers will be engaging students this week during classes in our special CORE Days.
- Teachers will discuss course pathways within each content area.
- They will highlight class expectations to help guide conversations around success in future coursework.
- The goal is to encourage students to make informed course selections, utilizing resources like the upcoming Elective Fair and Curriculum Night.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage in a valuable dialogue with their current teachers about their potential courses for next school year.
Thank you and Go Wildcats!
Dr. Erik Healey, Principal

Entrepreneurship Students Present Eco-Friendly Business Ideas: Our Dual Enrollment Entrepreneurship students recently tackled a challenging project requiring them to develop a sustainable product that addresses an environmental problem while also serving as a viable business venture. This endeavor significantly strengthened their problem-solving skills, forcing them to creatively bridge ecological concerns with market demands. By presenting their ventures to peers and staff, students also refined crucial communication and pitch delivery skills which are transferable assets essential for future academic and professional success.
