Good morning, Chicago.

On this day in 1965: Rookie Gale Sayers — the "Kansas Comet" — scored six touchdowns at a muddy Wrigley Field, tying the NFL's single-game record in the Chicago Bears' 61-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Sayers carried the ball just nine times from scrimmage — and scored on four of those. Bears coach George Halas called it, "The greatest performance by one man on a football field."
