Dunleavy calls for a $1.8B draw from savings in final budget draft →

Gov. Mike Dunleavy released the final budget draft of his eight-year tenure, calling for lawmakers to spend more than $1.8 billion from savings to cover the costs of services and infrastructure in the current and coming fiscal years. His plan also calls for paying out $3,650 for every eligible dividend recipient, at a total cost of $2.3 billion — double what the state spends on public safety, prisons and courts combined.
