Everything We Learned From Kim Kardashian’s MasterClass (Yes, Really)
Kim Kardashian has redefined what it means to be a modern mogul—and now she’s spilling her actual playbook in a new MasterClass called The New Rules of Business: The Ten Kimmandments. Kim pulls back the curtain on her journey that started as an underestimated influencer. With her signature mix of glamour, grit, and calculated chaos, Kim’s class is packed with surprising strategy and big-sister-level advice. Below, the highlights we’re still thinking about.
1. Trust yourself.
“I leaned on my ex-husband a lot for advice and opinions, and validation. But when that relationship ended, and I didn’t have that connection, I was forced to make those decisions by myself, and I had to believe I already knew what I liked… It took that cutoff for me to be like, ‘Oh, I have no other choice, I have to do it on my own.’”
2. Viral moments don’t happen by accident, and it’s important to be in on the joke.
“I’ve always been in on the joke. Limited releases get attention, and when you show you’re in on it, people connect more.”
3. Social media isn’t optional—it’s your launchpad.
“You don’t have time for social media? Don’t start a brand then. I just don’t know how you can launch a brand in today’s world without having social media. I don’t know how you get that message out there, and it is hard—it is hard to figure out TikTok, it is hard to make videos—but these days it’s all about using your own platform and starting your own platform. Having your own platform is free. If it’s not your thing, you kind of have to make it your thing.”
4. Focus groups can look like carpool rides.
“My kids clue me in a lot—I drive them to school every day, so they control the radio and the playlists when we’re driving, so I get to hear music I’ve never heard before. I hear all the trends, what they’re talking about. I’d say the carpool rides are gold.”
