Register Now for Afterschool Enrichment Classes
Registration is now open for the winter session of afterschool enrichment. Classes start the week of January 12 and run until late March.
Classes this session include a variety of sports, chess, Spanish, robotics, AI, art, and singing/acting.
Several classes are very close to meeting minimum enrollment. Sign up today to make sure those classes run:
Artistic Drawing (Grades 1-6, Wednesday)
Introduction to AI (Grades 2-6, Thursday)
Pop Star Spotlight (Grades 2-6, Thursday)

Attention All FairyTale Creatures!
The Hunters Woods PTA is excited to announce AUDITION DATES for our Annual PTA
Musical, Shrek, JR. which is scheduled for April 30th-May 2nd, 2025!
We will be holding an audition workshop on Thursday January 8th from 3:45-5:00 in the Black Box Theater. This workshop will allow students interested in auditioning to get some practice and review the materials prior to AUDITIONS which will be held:
- Tuesday January 13th
- Wednesday January 14th
- Thursday January 15th: CALL BACKS (not getting a call back does not mean you will not get cast- call backs are meant to further evaluate for particular roles/participation)

There are many more resources out there via a Google search on preparing elementary school students for auditions including videos and quick master classes.
As well, we encourage you to put your own spin on things- bring your own personality to the characters! Also, a good opportunity to have a family movie night to watch the original Shrek- always a great time!
Casting decisions will be made no later than Sunday evening January 18th with a parent meeting to follow on the 21st. Rehearsals will begin that week and the schedule is TBD based on casting and staff availability.
We will send more information prior to the workshop including sign ups and other details about the expectations around student and parent participation as well as more insight on scheduling. In the meantime, have FUN and we hope to see you on the 8th for the workshop!

STEM Clubs
Clubs Now Running, Enrollment Continues
Hunters Woods STEM clubs are open for registration! Clubs will begin the week of December 1st. The cost to register is $50 per student. Some scholarships are available.
Clubs have started, but continue to enroll if your student is interested.
If you are interested in coaching Odyssey of the Mind, please let us know.
Sign your student up for Lego League, MathCounts, Science Olympiad, and Odyssey of the Mind by sending an email with your student’s name and grade level to Carolina Young at stemvp@hwpta.org.
