Nearly all of Aurora city government’s departments have seen changes in leadership this year after a large number of top employees departed City Hall.

The department will focus particularly on areas that saw the highest levels of celebratory gunfire last New Year’s Eve and on the Fourth of July.

Time and again, Donald Trump’s immigration agents claimed horrific crimes at the hands of protesters in Chicago. Those allegations of abuse did not withstand the scrutiny of judicial review.

The Aurora police officers involved in an incident in which an Aurora man, 30, died in March were found to have been involved in no wrongdoing, Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser recently announced.

The investigation into the incident remains active, the police department said on Tuesday.

Oswego trustees recently granted a variance from village code to allow a petitioner to paint the brick and natural stone facade of a 1870s-era building at the corner of Main and Washington streets in the village’s downtown.

One resident suffered a minor heat-related injury, the news release said. That resident was assessed by paramedics and declined additional medical attention after signing a medical release.
