You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…
1.
Dinner is the best. But choosing what to eat, every single night, is the worst. Enter: Jenn Lueke’s brilliant new cookbook, Don’t Think About Dinner. Her budget-friendly grocery lists and easy, delicious weeknight menus take the decision fatigue out of prep and planning. Want to try a recipe before you buy? Start with these Crunchy Pork Lettuce Wraps. Consider our never-been-used meal prep containers ready.
In fictional CIA-speak, PONIES stands for “persons of no interest.” But we’re extremely interested in this bingeable Peacock thriller about two Cold War-era secretaries — played by Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson — turned operatives whose husbands die in a mysterious plane crash. As they try to uncover the circumstances behind their newfound widow status, they find themselves in increasingly precarious, sometimes sexy scenarios — wearing some of the best ’70s-inspired coats we’ve ever seen.

Men? With a podcast? Groundbreaking. But No Such Thingactually is. Each week, best friends Devan, Manny, and Noah settle “dumb arguments” that have plagued or divided them, alongside expert-backed advice. Their banter is so charming that one reviewer, who tends “to shy away from shows hosted entirely by men,” is willing to make an exception. Episode highlights include: “Is the pullout method fine actually?”, “How often do you actually need to shower?”, and the episode we recommend starting with: “Why can’t men find anything?” Great question.
Happy (almost) weekend. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about vacation prep. With a long weekend coming up, I’m taking a road trip to Florida for some much-needed fun and R&R. I love using mini getaways as an excuse to finally wear outfits (especially swimsuits) that have been patiently waiting in my closet. But before I hit the road, here’s what’s on my to-do list:
Avoiding any last-minute rushing — been there, done that, wrote the book — by doing laundry ahead of time and actually packing my Brookstone carry-on bagearly. It has a charging port on the side, which is a total game changer for travel.
Cleaning my apartment, so I can come home to a fresh, calm space. That includes doing the dishes, tidying my cat’s food and litter station, sweeping, and wiping down the bathroom. Thank me later.
Taking my JBL speaker out of retirement. It’s water-resistant and the sound quality stays unbelievably crisp — even when you crank it up to Ibiza levels.
