Thanks to a generous grant from the Foundation for Applied Technical Education (FATE), our Carpentry classroom received a huge lumber delivery this week! Our level 2 and 3 students wasted no time getting to work with the wood and began a practical, hands-on project building durable storage shelves designed to hold storage tote bins. Using the grant-funded lumber, students started the process of planning, measuring, cutting, and assembling the shelving units. Their first "customer" for this project is the Chantilly High School Wrestling program, who will use the shelving units to create much-needed organizational storage for their equipment.
Many thanks to our partners at FATE for their generous support of our Carpentry program!
Our Auto Collision students were lucky enough to be taste testers for homemade pizzas served up by our aspiring chefs in Culinary Arts.
As State Boards quickly approach, our Cosmetology 2 students continue to take every opportunity to get their "hands in hair" to fine-tune their skills.
An Engineering Systems student makes some final tweaks to his windmill, which is made from parts that he designed and 3D printed.
In Auto Collision 1, students have been busy in the shop working on repairing dents using a hammer and dolly.
Our Academy Ambassadors continue to be busy representing their Academy courses at base school electives fairs. As students begin making their course selections for the 2026-27 school year, we encourage you to check out the unique courses we offer here at Chantilly Academy!
