Dear TJHSST Families,
Thank you to all of our Class of 2027, 2028, and 2029 families for participating in our Virtual Curriculum Night this week. We hope you were able to get your questions regarding your child's 2026-27 scheduling options answered. If you weren't able to attend, do not worry as each department has put up a video on our Academic website explaining the various offerings.
This week's newsletter is all about health and services available to our TJ family. Please see below for information about a Health Fair in Mason, immunization clinics, and therapy all connected to Fairfax County Public Schools. We also have a 10 percent discount offer for some of our local restaurants!

TJ was sent this message from Fairfax County's Mason District about an upcoming Health Fair they are holding on February 7. We have received assurances from them that it is for everyone, not just those residing in the Mason District.
From Fairfax County Mason District Office
I am with Supervisor Jimenez's Office, and I wanted to reach out with information regarding our Mason District Health Fair scheduled for Saturday, February 7th, from 10am-12pm at the James Lee Community Center. We are partnering with a variety of community groups, organizations, and county departments to provide valuable health-related information, services, and resources for our community.
Services will include, but are not limited to:
- Vaccine appointment registration and information
- Medicaid enrollment assistance
- Hearing and vision screenings
- Substance abuse prevention training and resources
- Child development screenings and information
- Breast cancer awareness information
- HIV screening and prevention information
- Information on the importance of healthy eating
- And more!
FCPS, in partnership with Inspire Health Alliance, will provide school-required immunizations and optional flu shots for all FCPS students with no out-of-pocket costs. Multiple events will take place at designated FCPS locations. Additional dates will be available throughout the school year.
Parents or guardians may view upcoming events and schedule an appointment for their student. Participation is voluntary. View immunization resources on the FCPS website.

In the video above, TJ's Social Worker Danielle Armstrong talks about how to access therapists through one of Fairfax County Public Schools' partners Hazel Health. Feel free to reach out to Ms. Armstrong with more questions.

Several area restaurants have partnered with our Colonial Athletic Boosters (CAB) to offer TJ students and staff a 10 percent discount! So if you are hungry, head to one of these establishments in the flyer above and show them your TJ ID to save a little cash!
