Grades 3-6 Student Experience Survey

FCPS’ Strategic Plan serves as a roadmap to guide our school division toward improvements that best support our students. One critical piece of that plan is to make sure we hear directly from our students about their classroom and school experiences. To understand more about students’ experiences in schools, FCPS will invite all students in grades 3 through 12 to take a Student Experience Survey from Monday, February 23 to Friday, March 6.

The survey is designed to protect your child’s privacy and your child’s individual survey responses will be kept confidential. Only FCPS research staff have access to individual survey responses. Teachers and school staff do not see students’ individual answers, and responses are kept confidential in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Survey responses will play a critical role in helping us understand our strengths and opportunities for improvement.

If you would like more information about the survey or you would  like to view the survey,  please visit the Student Experience Survey webpage. You may opt your child out of participating in the survey by completing the opt-out form at https://fcpsk12va.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_broJy9BgMAyWdPU?Q_DL=WOLG0OWzXiVKz6w_broJy9BgMAyWdPU_CGC_jO96XXLve2nKvYa&Q_CHL=email. (If you prefer, you may call the school office to opt your student out: 703-645-7000.)  The deadline to submit an opt-out form is Friday, February 13.

If you have questions about the Student Experience Survey, please contact research@fcps.edu. Thank you for considering this opportunity for your child to share their experiences through FCPS’ Student Experience Survey.
