You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…
1.
After two weeks of epic on-court fashion, record-breaking matches, and dudes who can’t hang, the Australian Open women’s and men’s finals are here. Aryna Sabalenka will face off against Elena Rybakina on Saturday, while Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic will go head to head on Sunday. Sure, you could get up at 3:30 am ET to watch the matches live, but we’ll be tuning in to ESPN2’s encore presentations at a much more reasonable 9 am ET.
2.
Let’s be honest: Not all viral food trends live up to the hype, but this supremely cozy dumpling lasagna absolutely delivers. Essentially a deconstructed potsticker, you get the juicy meat filling, the chewy wrapper, and the savory, spicy sauce — with zero dumpling-making skills required.
Dearest gentle readers, the ton is once again abuzz: Bridgerton, the Regency-era romance we all appreciate for its…orchestral covers, has returned to Netflix. Season 4 (the first half’s out now) centers on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), who — fresh off a pansexual awakening — attends yet another masquerade ball and meets Sophie (Yerin Ha), a very clever woman who’s secretly a maid. She disappears into the night, leaving only a single glove behind — and if you’re thinking horny Cinderella, you’re definitely right.

Forget what you’ve heard — Brat summer isn’t over. At least, not for those who go see The Moment, Charli XCX’s new mockumentary, in which she plays a rising pop star (or, an exaggerated version of herself) preparing for her first arena tour. Also along for the ride? Alexander Skarsgård, Rachel Sennott, Rosanna Arquette, and one member of the Kardashian-Jenner crew, who — unlike her older sister Kim’s foray into acting — delivers a “legitimately fantastic” performance.
Happy (almost) weekend. As a New York transplant from Georgia, my tolerance for seemingly endless freezing temps is basically nonexistent. But I’m not letting the weather derail my 2026 goals, so here’s what I’ll be up to this weekend:
I’ll kick off my mornings with strength training, which studies have shown has major health benefits for women. I’m new to weight lifting, so I used the Peloton App to build a personalized workout plan. (Shout-out to Callie Gullickson’s 20-minute Glutes & Legs Strength class. I’m still sore.)
I’ll head to a nearby coffee shop with a friend, for some parallel reading. We’ll catch up over lattes, but I also want to make progress on Yasmin Zaher’s The Coin — about a woman in a Birkin bag pyramid scheme. A review called it “glamorous and unhinged,” which is exactly my speed.
I’ll see some friends perform stand-up in Brooklyn (they came to my show last week, so fair’s fair). Yes, I’m biased, but there’s truly nothing better than a night of live comedy. Though watching one of these new specials comes close — the fourth is the best I’ve seen in a while.
