Underground Utility Work This Week

During the week of February 2 and concluding on Monday, February 9 (weather permitting), crews perform utility work below Military Road on the north leg of the intersection with Nelly Custis Road. Work hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and will not include weekends.

This work was originally scheduled for late January and was rescheduled due to weather events.

  • The north northbound lane will close; all traffic will shift to the southbound lane in a flagging formation
  • Flaggers will guide vehicle traffic through the intersection
  • Sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open

Outside of work hours, the intersection will resume its all-way stop configuration through the end of Phase 3. Learn more on the project page.
