It's Closer than You Think

Beginning on Feb. 11, registration for Summer Camp will open to all Arlington residents. Registration is staggered by camp provider type. Partner Camps are up first.

• Arlington's Military and Veterans Advisory Committee wants to hear from members of the military, veterans, and their families who live and/or work in Arlington about types of programs, services, and resources that could be helpful.

• The Special Election for State Senate District 39 is on Feb. 10, and the last day of early voting is Feb. 7. Only voters who live in District 39 are eligible to vote in this Special Election. District 39 includes Pentagon City, Crystal City, Aurora Highlands, and east Arlington Ridge.
  
  
• Know before you go. Starting Feb. 14, Metro trains will not operate between Pentagon City and National Airport during ten impacted weekends.
  
  
• Behind the Badge. The Arlington County Police Department educates recruits about the laws, history, and values of the County before they enter the Police Academy.
  
  
• Prio Bangla and Arlington Arts invite you to celebrate International Mother Language Day, a community observance celebrating linguistic diversity on Feb. 8.
   
• ICYMI: The Arlington County Board honored nine projects for the 2025 DESIGNArlington awards, including Metropolitan Park in Crystal City.
  
  
• Arlington’s Commission on the Status of Women seeks nominations for the 2026 Women of Vision Awards honoring women in business, nonprofits, and government.
  
  
• On Friday, Feb. 27, teens are invited inside Amazon HQ2 for a free, one-night-only epic Teen Takeover where everyone is VIP. Advance registration required.
