We have officially slid into February and we couldn’t be happier to have our students back in the building! Their energy and smiles have been the perfect remedy for these chilly winter days.
We know the recent winter weather has been a challenge for everyone. We sincerely appreciate your patience and resilience as the neighborhood continues to dig out and get back to a normal routine.
Safety is a team effort and we need your help to ensure our students arrive and dismiss safely every single day. With snow piles making street parking a bit tighter than usual, please keep the following in mind:

Practice Patience: Traffic may move a little slower—thank you for calm and understanding.

Mind the Buses: Our bus drivers need extra space to maneuver safely in winter conditions.

Keep Loops Clear: Please do not park in the bus loop or at the bus exit. These areas must remain clear for emergency access and scheduled transportation.
We are energized and ready to dive into Quarter 3! It’s going to be a fantastic season of learning and growth for our students. Thank you for your continued support and for being such an essential part of our school community.

Saratoga Elementary School Culture Night Friday, February 6th, 6-8pm
Saratoga PTA is excited to host Culture Night at Saratoga, a multi-cultural event that gives our students and families the opportunity to explore different cultures and countries from around the world. Parent and student volunteers will give a glimpse into the traditions of their cultures.Free event! Visit over 11 tables, sample traditional food, create your own flag, and stamp your Saratoga passport.

It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!
Kindergarten helps children learn and practice the social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives.
Fairfax County public schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events, including orientation, in the spring. Eligible children can be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.
If your child will attend our school, please gather necessary documents and complete registration forms as soon as possible.
FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, please visit the FCPS Registration webpage.
FCPS Ombuds Office Provides Confidential Guidance
The Office of the Ombuds engages with families, students, and staff to offer resources and improve the experience of each and every member of the FCPS community. They work as an independent confidential resource to help answer questions, offer options to resolve concerns, and hear complaints regarding FCPS matters. Anyone seeking assistance from the Office of the Ombuds may call 571-423-4014, text 571-496-8284, email ombuds@fcps.edu, or visit the ombuds webpage, where you may submit a question. Ombuds staff do not change or make decisions, policies, or regulations; take sides; or provide legal advice.

Hemos entrado oficialmente en febrero, y no podríamos estar más contentos de tener a nuestros estudiantes de vuelta en la escuela. Su energía y sus sonrisas han sido el remedio perfecto para estos fríos días de invierno.
Sabemos que el reciente clima invernal ha sido un desafío para todos. Agradecemos sinceramente su paciencia y perseverancia mientras el vecindario se recupera y vuelve a la normalidad.
La seguridad es un trabajo en equipo, y necesitamos su ayuda para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes lleguen y salgan de la escuela de forma segura todos los días. Dado que los montones de nieve dificultan un poco el estacionamiento en la calle, por favor, tengan en cuenta lo siguiente:
Tengan paciencia: El tráfico puede ser un poco más lento; gracias por mantener la calma y la concentración.
