Canadian freestyle skier Megan Oldham took bronze in the freeski slopestyle competition, handing Canada a well-needed second medal on the third day of the Milan Cortina Olympics.

Oldham’s super and thrilling first run of three put her in head-to-head competition with Chinese mega-star Eileen Gu, who took silver, and Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud, with a surprise gold.

Oldham crashed fairly hard on her second run, raising questions about possible injuries. But the lowest scoring run is dropped by the judges and she came back strong in the third and final run.
