Hi,
Last week we launched our 'cheaper than the cheapest fixes' collective switch. 10,000s have already gone and both the British Gas & Fuse deals end 5pm tomorrow (Thu 12 Feb) at the latest. Both deals lock in the maximum rate, so it's guaranteed not to rise during the fix, giving you peace of mind of price certainty. A collective switch is a regulated process where energy firms bid to offer special deals that undercut their own public deals.
The Government is about to cut some underlying structural costs from energy bills (some shifted to general taxation, some cut) - what it calls the April '£150 off bills'. That means the Price Cap is predicted to drop but also, unprecedentedly, those on most existing fixes will see their rates cut too (see will my firm's existing fixes get cheaper?).

So with these fixes, you get a cheap rate now, and they get even cheaper in April...

The MSE Big Switch Winners Both have agreed to MSE Enhanced Service
Ends: When all gone or 12 Feb.
As your exact winner depends on location and usage, all links go via our Energy Club comparison, so you can see how these tariffs stack up for you, and ensure they're compared against any new tariffs that may launch.
- Big Name Winner: Cheap 1yr fix. British Gas 12mth. 8,000 switches (as we managed to get more)
- New and existing customers.
- £50/fuel exit penalties
- Dual fuel, elec or gas only. DD & Pay on Receipt of Bills
- No Smart Meter needed
This is 14.1% less on average than the Jan Price Cap (including MSE cashback), and British Gas will pass on the full 1 April Government bill reduction on the fix too. Existing BG customers can get it too, and it's far cheaper (typically £120/yr) than the cheapest deals BG is offering direct. If you're already on a BG fix, it won't charge you early exit fees to switch to this (so see if it's cheaper - if it is, move).

PS: Since last week's launch, Outfox Energy has cut its price to a similar level to our BG deal - so you've even more choice. Your cheapest depends on usage and region, and you'll see both when you do the comparison.
- Small Firm Winner: Cheapest long fix. Fuse Energy 18mth. Uncapped, ends 5pm Thu.
- New & existing customers
- £50/fuel exit penalties
- Dual fuel/elec only and 'Variable' Direct Debit only (so you pay each month based on what you've used)
- No Smart Meter needed
It's 16.1% cheaper on average than the current Price Cap (including MSE cashback). It's available to new and existing customers, though if you're on a Fuse fix already, you'll need to pay £30/fuel exit fees. Fuse says it will pass on the full Government cut on 1 April, though its price won't fall by as much as British Gas, as it isn't currently part of the ECO scheme (one of the elements being wiped off bills). So that means its reduction will, we guess, be a little under half that of elsewhere.
