Join the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to Learn More about 2026 Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) Measure Development, Processes, and Expectations

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET, CMS will host a webinar that will provide an overview of the suggested QCDR measure development and evaluation processes. CMS and the Practice Improvement and Quality Measures Management Support (PIQMMS) Team will also review the resources that are available to QCDRs as they work on any new QCDR measures or updates to existing QCDR measures. This webinar won’t be used to consider additional QCDR measure submissions for the 2026 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) performance period. This webinar is intended to assist with the development of QCDR measures for future MIPS (2027 and beyond) performance periods.

Description: The webinar will provide an overview of the development, criteria, and evaluation of QCDR measures. Among the topics to be presented during the webinar, CMS will provide QCDR measure information regarding:

Overview and requirements

Component basics

Development including analytics that best support MIPS

Review and tips for successful submission

Testing

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions related to the presentation.

Audience: This webinar is mandatory for intermediaries approved as QCDRs for the 2026 MIPS performance period and for those who support QCDR measures. It is optional for prospective QCDRs for the 2027 MIPS performance period.

Request a Meeting with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to Review Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) Measures for the 2027 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Performance Period

CMS will conduct QCDR measure preview meetings for the 2027 MIPS performance period between February 16, 2026, and May 29, 2026. The last day to request a meeting is May 15, 2026. QCDR measure preview calls provide an opportunity for CMS to preview measure concepts and offer constructive feedback prior to Self-Nomination. This includes new QCDR measure concepts as well as prospective updates to existing QCDR measures. Preview calls are intended for QCDR measure review discussions only. QCDR measure decisions are not made on preview calls.

To request a 2027 QCDR measure preview meeting:

1. Send an e-mail to QCDRVendorSupport@GDIT.com and provide:

Several available dates and times over a two-week period

Names and e-mail addresses of your team members who should be included in meeting the meeting, and

Number of QCDR measures you’ll submit for discussion

This information will ensure the requested meeting will be able to support the time needed to address all QCDR measure questions

2. At least 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled meeting, please send your QCDR measures and specifications using a single Microsoft Word or

Excel document to QCDRVendorSupport@gdit.com

If the Microsoft Word or Excel document isn’t received at least 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled meeting, the meeting may be rescheduled. CMS requires time prior to the meeting to thoroughly review your QCDR measures to provide useful feedback and recommendations. QCDR measures that are not submitted for review prior to the meeting won’t be discussed during the meeting.

To accommodate all requests, CMS will prioritize requests made by those who have yet to have a meeting regarding potential 2027 QCDR measures.
