Hi Lot,

It’s Kevin.

It’s Sunday. For a lot of people, there is a low-level anxiety humming in the background today. The feeling that you should be doing something, or that you aren't ready for tomorrow.

Psychologists call this the Zeigarnik Effect.

Our brains hold onto unfinished tasks. Every email you didn't answer, every workout you skipped, every chore you ignored—they are all running in the background of your mind like open browser tabs. That is what drains your battery.

You don't need to "relax more." You need to close the tabs.

Try this before bed: Write down the 3 things that are bothering you most. Then write one predictable step you will take tomorrow to handle them.

Your brain can relax once it knows there is a plan. Get it out of your head and onto paper.

Then, actually rest.
