This year’s twist on Donuts with Grownups includes math games. The dates are Tuesday, March 24 for Grades K, 2, 4, 6, and Wednesday, March 25 for Grades 1, 3 and 5. Both events are 8:45-9:30am. Grab a donut and enjoy some math games in your child’s classroom. Feel free to split your time between classrooms if you have more than one child on the same date. If you have children in grades on both dates, but you can’t attend both, you are welcome to have the one child join you in the other child’s classroom. In late April we will have a second Donuts with Grownups morning event focusing on students sharing writing.
Camelot will host an orientation for rising kindergarten parents/caregivers and children on April 21 from 9am-11am. This orientation is geared toward first-time kindergarten families, but all rising kinder families are welcome to attend. We will have a second orientation in August for all kinder families and kids.
If you have or know of a neighbor who has a child who will be 5 by September 30, 2026, and they live in the Camelot boundary, they are eligible for kindergarten at Camelot. We encourage families with rising kindergarteners to register as early as possible so we have a good sense of how many classes we will need. Registration information can be found online: HERE, or forms can be picked up in the Camelot office. Silvia Galicia, Camelot’s Registrar, is the point of contact: 703-645-7000 or sgalicia@fcps.edu. Use this link to communicate information about your child directly to Ms. Galicia: https://camelotes.fcps.edu/student-services/student-registration
The PTA is looking for a Kindergarten Parent Liaison. This person would coordinate a few playdates during the summer. If you are interested, please reach out to Ms. Galicia and she will pass your information to the PTA.
