A Message from the Principal

Greetings Bryant Families!

It was wonderful welcoming our students back to Bryant for this shorter week!

We’ve been busy helping students complete their make-up WIDA testing, and we truly appreciate your support in getting them to school to finish those up. Next week students will take the WIDA Speaking assessment—the final of the four parts. Because this is a scheduled one-on-one session, consistent attendance is essential. We appreciate your continued encouragement as our students work hard to show how much they’ve learned and grown this year!

On that note, we are focusing heavily on consistent attendance this semester. Every student’s presence at Bryant High School truly matters to our school community—when they are here, they are learning and growing with us!

To encourage consistent attendance, if a student is absent and we haven’t received a note, parents/guardians will receive a quick notification via Talking Points. This is simply to keep you informed and help us ensure every student is accounted for.

Thank you for your partnership in getting our students to school on time, every day.

Take Care!

Cindy Conley

Principal

2026 Inaugural FCPS Student Summit  Student Summit Planning Committee – Student Application

Is your child passionate about student voice and interested in helping design an event that represents students across FCPS? The FCPS Student Summit Planning Committee offers high school students in grades 9–12 the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and help shape the first-ever FCPS Student Summit.

The Inaugural FCPS Student Summit will take place on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the New High School.  Registration to attend the summit will open on February 23, and transportation from each high school will be provided. Students who attend the summit will earn three hours of community service credit and receive a certificate of participation.

Planning Committee members will work together to create an engaging, student-centered summit by:

  • Bringing forward diverse perspectives
  • Sharing ideas and providing feedback
  • Supporting the Student Summit on the day of the event
  • Helping design meaningful experiences for students across the division

No prior leadership experience is required—just a willingness to participate, collaborate, and make your voice heard.

If your child is interested in representing Bryant High School, working alongside students from other FCPS high schools, and helping create an impactful event, we encourage them to apply.

Meditation and Silent Reflection - Updated Link!

In alignment with FCPS Regulation 1502, Bryant High School ensures that students and staff of all religious backgrounds have reasonable accommodations and access to meditation and silent reflection spaces within the school building. Students may request to use the space during the school day but may only request to use the space during instructional periods with parent permission. If you would like your child to have access to the Meditation and Silent Reflection Space during instructional time, please review and complete this Google form (new link) to provide parent permission.

New Visitor Management System

We are excited to announce that our school is now using the new Raptor Visitor Management System (VMS). This upgrade is part of our school’s and FCPS’ ongoing commitment to enhancing school safety and streamlining the process for visitors at our school. The VMS ensures that no visitor is on the sex offender registry.

For most visitors, the user experience will be the same when you check in at the front office.

But now there is also an app, which can make check-ins even faster at school. Visitors who choose to download the RaptorSafe App and create a Raptor Passport can pre-verify their information before they get to school. The app will give you a QR code you can use when you check in at school.

If you have questions or need assistance with the new system, please contact our front office. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our schools safe!

Learn About Opportunities for the Year Following Graduation

FCPS School Counseling Services and Go Overseas will co-host the FCPS Virtual Gap Year Fair on Tuesday, February 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. This event is for high school students and their families who are interested in learning about opportunities for the year following high school graduation. Students should register at USA Gap Year Fairs. Contact Pamela White with any questions.
