This 7" Titanium hammer exceeds the aerospace client’s requirements, yet is flexible enough for use in machine shops, assembly rooms, gunsmithing and other delicate jobs that require delicate tapping. What makes this hammer so unusual is that it can be configured to exactly the tool you want using the selectable heads. It includes Nylon, Hardened Steel (RC-59) and Brass interchangeable heads. There is even the ability to put a head on the “butt end” of the handle for those super controlled tapping jobs. This hammer can be configured to be 100% non-magnetic and spark free using the interchangeable brass and nylon heads. Most wrenches are forged from tool steel, but It was determined that this wrench must be Titanium. Why Titanium? It’s extremely corrosion resistant, featuring No/Low magnetic signature. Extraordinarily strong, titanium possesses a greater strength-to-weight ratio than stainless, steel or aluminum. Titanium weighs about 60% less than steel in density, producing tools at nearly half the weight of steel. This means that the wrench needed to be machined out of a solid billet of Titanium. Making an adjustable wrench in the machine shop is a lot more complicated than it sounds. Over 27 hours of machining is needed to create just a single wrench! Why Titanium? Titanium is a great material for wrenches because of its unique combination of properties. Some of the most important properties of titanium that make it suitable for use in wrenches include: Lightweight: Titanium is much lighter than other metals commonly used in wrenches, such as steel. This makes it easier to handle and reduces user fatigue during extended use. High Strength: Despite its lightweight, titanium is extremely strong and durable. This makes it resistant to wear and tear, and able to withstand heavy loads without breaking or deforming. Corrosion Resistant: Titanium has excellent resistance to corrosion and does not rust, even in harsh environments.
