New reporting from The Intercept finds that ICE is ramping up the targeting of U.S. citizens based on their political views — and yet corporate media outlets have almost entirely ignored it.

Federal agents have been hauling in dozens of legal observers, detaining many for hours before release. Border czar Tom Homan said agents in Minnesota took at least 158 people into custody for interfering with federal law enforcement.

But it doesn’t stop with arrests. We’re in the midst of an investigation revealing a pattern of intimidation by federal agents who show up at the homes of legal observers.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi admitted to Congress that the Justice Department has begun compiling a national database of U.S. citizens based on their political beliefs to investigate as potential terrorists.

These tactics have nothing whatsoever to do with immigration enforcement. They’re a blatant, coordinated effort to suppress political dissent.
