Donald Trump has acquired a taste for foreign intervention. After months of military build-up and threats, America and Israel this morning struck targets across Iran, including the headquarters of Ali Khamenei, the country’s supreme leader, and the Iranian parliament. Even before the extent of the damage was clear, Mr Trump and Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, had issued a joint statement calling for regime change.
