Welcome back to the daily Hockey Inside/Out newsletter, where last night the Montreal Canadiens erased a three-goal deficit in the third period, but still ended up losing 7-5 to the San Jose Sharks. |
"Obviously, there’s a familiarity there with Cole (Caufield) and (Nick Suzuki). I played with them in previous years, so just trying to find my way and where they need me to be on the ice. Just focus on what I need to do. Details defensively, offensively. Manage the puck well and continue to just be hard on the forecheck, win pucks back for them and then go to the net and make plays."

Hidden Game: Dobes lays an egg as Canadiens come unglued in San Jose
"We can only wonder what general manager Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton, president of hockey operations, must have been thinking while sitting in the SAP Center watching this 7-5 defeat. Especially with several goalies — St. Louis’ Jordan Binnington and Florida’s Sergei Bobrovsky — reportedly available."
