You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…
1.
Looking to fill the gold-medal-sized hole in your heart? The Milan Cortina Winter Paralympics are officially underway. Here’s what we’re watching: Tomorrow, the US sled hockey team — aiming for its fifth consecutive medal — faces off against Italy in its first preliminary-round game. Plus, some of the Aigner siblings, who took home more medals than some countries in 2022, will compete for their first alpine skiing golds of these Games. And American Paralympic legends Oksana Masters and Kendall Gretsch will battle it out in the women’s sitting biathlon event on Sunday.

Want to dress like a fashion editor? All you need is something in this one color — and you probably already own it. (Hint: It’s not red.)
3.
Look, we can’t make daylight saving time go away. But we can help you fight back against that lost hour. Enter: “the Dutch method,” which, thankfully, doesn’t involve splitting the bed.
4.
We’re no mathletes, but Steve Carell + a Ted Lasso creator = Rooster, a campus comedy that’s completely unbelievable and totally entertaining. In the new HBO show (premieres Sunday at 10 pm ET), Carell plays Greg, a famous author who visits the college where his daughter (Charly Clive) teaches — and is going through a humiliating divorce from her cheating husband (Phil Dunster). When she burns her ex’s house down, Greg makes a deal with the dean: He’ll stick around as a writer-in-residence if his daughter can keep her job. Cue on-campus antics, father-daughter bonding, and an A+ ensemble.

This pantry staple is the unexpected secret to the easiest, most satisfying bowl of noodles you’ll make. Chances are, you’ve passed over it a hundred times.
Happy (almost) weekend. I’ve had one thing on my mind lately: going analog. Bingeing Love Story has me nostalgic for paper magazines, landlines, and answering machines — and wondering why my first instinct in any quiet moment is still to reach for my phone. Especially since, between work and raising a toddler, quiet time is rare. So I’m reclaiming it, starting this weekend. Here’s how I’ll do that:
I’m making my famously ooey-gooey cinnamon monkey bread for a family birthday brunch. It’s proof that even someone as inept in the kitchen as me can whip up a dish people fight over.
No weekend is complete without matcha, and my secret ingredient is this Organic Lavender Almond Creamer. Sure, it might sound unusual, but that hint of lavender is as close as I’ll get to a spa experience.
To round out my transitional wardrobe, I’ll pair the pants with a crisp white T-shirt and this understated cardigan. The three together feel like the perfect cool-mom uniform for chasing my toddler around.
I’ll catch up on Hulu’s Paradise. (In Sterling K. Brown we trust.) The season 2 premiere might’ve been the best TV episode I’ve seen in years — and I watch a lot of TV for work, so I’m counting that as a professional opinion.
I haven’t had much time for reading lately, but Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage has dominated my social feeds, so I’m taking it as a sign.
