As you might have noticed, we at Vanity Fair have long covered all things Kennedy. That includes Ryan Murphy’s FX series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. We published first-look images from the series; we talked to stars Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Anthony Kelly; we dug into whether its depictions of Kennedy’s relationship with Daryl Hannah and Jackie O’s final days resembled real life (not always, as Jack Schlossberg has said, and as Hannah herself has now written in The New York Times). Today, we’ve got another story to add to the roster: supervising producer (and VF contributing editor) Juli Weiner’s insider account of how the crew created the all-important wedding episode, from reconstructing a landmark church to landing on the writers’ interpretation of why, exactly, Bessette was two hours late to the ceremony.
