We get to enjoy a little spring fling this week with highs in the 60s Monday and getting close to 70 Tuesday. We know it won’t last long, so get out and enjoy as much as possible.

There is a caveat for areas along the South Coast and Cape Cod. Because winds will blow off the cooler surrounding water, temperatures in those communities are stuck in the 40s and 50s with more clouds around. With the extended period of temperatures above freezing, we should see significant reduction in the snowpack across the region.

Keep in mind, the time change also means it stays darker longer in the morning, and that may impact the commute and kids heading to the bus stop. A light jacket is needed in the morning with temperatures in the upper 30s.

One driver was killed and another was injured in a head-on crash in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Sunday night.

Tewksbury police say officers responded around 6:48 p.m. to Andover Street in the area of Cooney Road and found two vehicles had collided. Both drivers were treated at the scene and then taken to local hospitals, where one of the drivers died from their injuries.

Andover Street remains closed in the area, and delays are expected. Police initially said they had responded to a serious motor vehicle crash there, urging motorists to avoid the area. Traffic is being diverted from Hood Road to River Road as crash reconstruction continues.

The human rights group Human Rights Watch said in a report Monday that the Israeli military “unlawfully” hit a village in southern Lebanon with shells containing white phosphorus, a controversial incendiary munition.

Through geolocating and verifying seven images, Human Rights Watch said Israel fired white phosphorus using artillery at residential areas in the southern Lebanese village of Yohmor. It happened hours after the Israeli military warned the residents of the village and dozens of others in southern Lebanon to evacuate.

Human Rights Watch said it couldn’t independently identify if any residents were still in the area or if anyone was harmed.

An apparent water main break in Quincy, Massachusetts, created a waterfall on Interstate 93 overnight.

The watery mess happened at the Robertson Street overpass near Exit 9.

Video from the scene shows water cascading onto the highway on both sides of the road.

A woman was arrest Sunday after allegedly firing multiple shots at the Los Angeles home of singer Rihanna, who was inside the residence at the time of the shooting, police said.

The incident occurred around 1:21 p.m. at the Beverly Crest neighborhood home Rihanna shares with hip-hop star A$AP Rocky and the couple’s three children. It was not immediately known whether A$AP Rocky or the couple’s children were home at the time. No injuries were reported.

The Los Angeles Police Department said a woman, whose name was not released, drove up to the property and fired between seven and nine rounds with what police described as an AR-15-style rifle. At least four rounds struck the house.
