Dating after divorce can be both daunting and exciting.

In part three of our divorce series, deputy national health editor Tamara McDonald delves into how some Aussies are experiencing a sexual revolution post marriage split, while others have a hard time wrapping their head around getting into bed with someone new.

Divorcee Adelaide fits into the first category. She left her marriage after 12 years because she wanted to explore her sexuality – and she’s been doing just that. Describing her sex life as quite vanilla while married, she is now dabbling in the world of dating apps for the first time (something she’d always been intrigued by) and sexual exploration. It can lead to some pretty forward requests, even in the first 30 minutes of chatting.

On the other end of the spectrum is Tony, who divorced 25 years ago and is now taking a break from the dating world because he wants to figure out what he is looking for in a significant other.

Lastly, it’s worth noting that this is Tamara’s last day with us before she goes on maternity leave. We’ll miss her as she starts this exciting new chapter and look forward to her coming back at the end of the year as a mum!

Have a great week.
